With the secondary transfer window set to close on Aug 14, several high-impact international players are still available. After the recently reported addition of Idan Toklomati, Charlotte FC should still have an international roster slot available along with their open Designated Player spot.

Yusuf Yazici - The Turkish attacking midfielder has reportedly several interested clubs. Nothing is approaching an official public offer. The clubs in the rumor mill are far above the tier level of MLS but as the European season approaches and he continues not to have a club, things could get interesting. Yazici is 27 with high-level experience and could very easily have his best years ahead of him.

AndrƩ Gomes - Gomes is out of contract at Everton, and no rumors have surfaced about his next move. He's a veteran who has played in some of the best leagues in the world. He typically plays a bit deeper than what Charlotte may be looking for in an attacking midfielder, but he's a high-level center-midfielder whose game IQ could make him a threat in the final third in MLS.

Anton Miranchuk - The Russian midfielder's twin brother, Aleksey Miranchuk, is joining Atlanta United from Atalanta. MLS will surely be on his radar as an option after Aleksey completes his move. Rumors have swirled about various other clubs being interested but nothing imminent has been reported. Anton Miranchuk never got the big Serie A move his brother did, but he still has Champions League experience and could bring more goal contributions to Charlotte's midfield. At 28, he could likely be a threat for several years if he were to hit.

James RodrĆguez - All rumors and reports have suggested that RodrĆguez is looking for a move back to Europe. This comes after a mutually agreed contract termination with SĆ£o Paulo and a strong showing during Copa America. MLS clubs should be eager to try and bring in the midfielder after seeing how much energy Colombian fans had during Copa America. He looks like a prime candidate to sell a bunch of tickets and kits in the US after seeing the way Colombians turned up throughout the US.

Iker Muniain - Muniain would have been a great fit in Charlotte and MLS. A willing worker, runner, and leader, who could also bring goals. Recent reports suggest that Muniain is close to completing a move with River Plate, which means he would be off the market. He suggested that MLS was another option when he first announced he was leaving Athletic Bilbao, but that seems increasingly less likely.
