According to sources, Charlotte FC is looking to part ways with defender Joseph Mora.
With the arrival of new left back Jere Uronen from Stade Brestois in Ligue 1, a 29-year-old Finnish International who signed a 2.5-year deal with the club today, future playing time has depleted for Mora, causing the club to look to part ways with the Costa Rican former expansion draft selection.
Mora has played 27 total games for the Crown over one and a half seasons, after playing four years for D.C United. Moraās last MLS start was April 15th against the Colorado Rapids and has only made four appearances in MLS this season.
Mora was selected in the expansion draft during former head coach Miguel Angel Ramirez's tenure. In his first season with the club he started 18 games, but this year he has only started twice, in a U.S Open Cup game versus Birmingham Legion FC and a regular season game against Colorado in April.
With Uronen slotting into the starting left back position, it looks like there may not be room for Mora within head coach Christian Lattanzioās plans.
