Peruvian International Yordy Reyna will not partake in Charlotte FCs preseason plans as the club actively looks for ways to move the player on.The front office have made their desires clear to Yordy and they no longer want him part of the squad. Charlotte FC and Yordy Reyna are exploring options and potential moves with one source suggesting that a potential contract termination may not be out of the question.
Reyna scored 4 goals and added 6 assists across MLS and the US Open Cup in Charlotte's inaugural season. In Reyna's case, his high salary of $797,500 combined with the required use of an international roster spot leave Charlotte with a difficult decision to make in regards to his future with the team. Reyna's large salary could potentially hinder the team in roster building and the team has higher expectations for a player on that fee.
