Yesterday, Kickback Media and Soccerwise announced their partnership with us at TopBin90. The Soccerwise lineup has some of the top talent covering soccer in the US today, including David Gass, Tom Bogert, Susannah Fuller, Walker Zimmerman and many more. We are excited to have the opportunity to work and learn alongside them. This partnership will include regular collaboration across all platforms, as we aim to bring more MLS and American soccer coverage to Charlotte and more Charlotte coverage to the American soccer audience.
TopBin90 started before Charlotte FC even had a logo. In 2020, we were just a group of people who loved the sport and could feel something building in this city, but we felt there was no place for passionate fans to talk about it. So we built one. What began as a handful of fans, really excited about their team and their city, has grown into one of the strongest independent soccer media outlets in the Carolinas. Our edge is the mix: journalism and fan perspective, woven together in a way that feels real.
We cover the performances on the field, but also the fan culture, the atmosphere, and the personalities on the sidelines; the full picture of what it means to support this team and this sport in this city. We want to remain a beacon for soccer fans in this region and see ourselves as connectors between the community and their team, and between the sport and the people who live it.
Charlotte as a city has always had a football pulse, but Charlotte FC blew the lid off what soccer culture here could become, breaking the MLS record for attendance in their very first home match. Since then, Charlotte has hosted Real Madrid, Chelsea, a Copa América semifinal, and the Club World Cup, among other matches.
One of the reasons for our success in Charlotte is that we always show up with a mic, a camera, or a pen. We are known for our ability to be there rain or shine. A partnership with Kickback and Soccerwise, for us, made a ton of sense, as they are an all-star group that has shown up covering MLS and beyond for years and years. We aim to keep growing and improving our coverage, and this partnership felt like a no-brainer next step as we continue to push our content forward.
