The future of CLT soccer: USYNT players to watch

With another international break in full swing in the soccer world, several Charlotte FC players have received a call up to their respective national teams, from Liel Abada (Israel) to Rodolfo Aloko (Benin).
In addition to senior players, several of Charlotte FC’s young prospects received call ups to the United States Youth National Team as well.
Here are the young players to watch during this international window from Charlotte:
Jahiem Wickham - Crown Legacy FC - Called up to Trinidad & Tobago
The Crown Legacy goalkeeper has made nine appearances this season while conceding 10 goals and claiming two clean sheets after being drafted from the University of South Florida in the third round of the 2026 MLS Super Draft. He is a part of a Trinidad & Tobago squad with fixtures against Haiti and the Dominican Republic this week in the CONCACAF Nations League.
Jeremiah Alexander-Munoz - Charlotte FC Academy - Called up to USYNT
The promising young defender who is just 16 years of age received a call up from the U17 United States Youth National Team and has been a consistent face in the US Youth teams since January 2025. Alexander-Munoz will look to build on the momentum he created earlier this year when he became the fifth youngest player to debut for Crown Legacy FC history when he made an appearance against Inter Miami II.
Daniel Brown - Charlotte FC Academy - Called up to USYNT
Daniel Brown is arguably one of the most exciting young talents in the Charlotte academy. The 15 year old earned himself a debut for Crown Legacy FC earlier this year when he became the ninth youngest player to ever debut in MLS Next Pro. Brown has previously been called up to the US Youth Teams and made his US Youth debut during a 4-3 match against the England U15s.
Kaeden McDowell - Charlotte FC Academy - Called up to USYNT
A recent transfer to the Charlotte FC academy this year, McDowell, is an exciting young attacker who gets to enjoy his first call up to the United States Youth National Team. In his one appearance for Crown Legacy this season against Huntsville City FC, McDowell converted the winning penalty after the game ended in a draw after 90 minutes. Despite only the one appearance for Crown Legacy this year, he remains an exciting name to watch not only during the international break but in the following seasons as he continues to work through the Charlotte FC development ladder.
The international break does not mean it is time to turn focus away from the Charlotte FC system. There are plenty of big stories to monitor from the senior team to the academy and these four starlets are sure to be ones to track during this international break and beyond.
